Location: Salisbury, CT and Sheffield, MA

HIKE INFO: Intermediate 10 mile hike (5 hours of hiking) at a quick (2-2.5 mph) pace on a mix of moderate and strenuous terrain. We will hike a combination of the Undermountain Trail, Paradise Lane and Appalachian Trail, visit Bear Mountain (the highest summit in Connecticut) and the Lion's Head overlook. This hike is organized by the Connecticut and Berkshire Chapter Young Members Committee but the young-at-heart are welcome to join us. Required to hike: - backpack - hiking boots or trail runners -2 liters of water -lunch and trail snacks -wear sweat wicking fabrics (no cotton/jeans) -bring a jacket or fleece -rain jacket -hat and gloves -trekking poles (recommended) SOCIAL: Big Elm Brewery just north of the CT/MA border in Sheffield. Please plan to drink responsibly.
